Our client is a Houston-based manufacturer of high-performance completion tools used in the global oil and gas industry.


With a fully integrated operation that brings together engineering, manufacturing, and field expertise, they design and produce precision components that directly support real-world drilling and completion operations.


The team focuses on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement while machining products from raw material through final testing.


We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our production team. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and craftsmanship directly impact the quality of the finished product.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes
  • Verify first-run parts meet specifications before production
  • Read and interpret blueprints and measurements
  • Perform turning, threading, grooving, and finishing operations
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed
  • Maintain quality standards and follow safety procedures


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with CNC lathes (Fanuc, Mazatrol, Mazak preferred)
  • Ability to set up machines and work independently
  • Comfortable using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators)
  • Ability to read blueprints and work within tolerances
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Previous experience in a ISO 9001 or API Q1 shop preferred


Nice to Have:

  • 4-axis experience
  • Oilfield or manufacturing background


Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Weekends as needed

Work Environment

  • This is an active shop environment
  • The facility is not climate-controlled (no A/C), so candidates should be comfortable working in varying temperatures
  • Safety equipment is provided and required

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen after offer of employment is made
